The Baby

Due date:  August 6, 2012
Week: 9
Maternity clothes:  Not yet but soon.  My jeans are only held on by the Be Band that was the best invention ever.  They don't zip all the way and the button is held together with a ponytail holder.  It's like my ab muscles have simply given up on me. (After this baby is born I'm starting the reclamation of my body.)
Cravings: Citrus, specifically grapefruit.  Hot and sour soup.
Morning sickness:  Yes, and evening.  No vomiting, simply nausea.  Sea Bands help. Sugar and carbs do not.  
Weight gain:  Maybe 2-3 pounds.  Hard to tell.
Movement:  Not yet.
Gender:  No idea.

Like I said before this pregnancy came as quite a shock to us.  We were planning on another baby but not this soon.  So, when the test came back positive I didn't know what to think.  Now, I'm getting excited.  It's taken nearly 5 weeks for me to get to this point.  Please don't mistake my apprehension for ingratitude.  We are extremely blessed and I don't want anyone to think I feel otherwise.  It simply requires an adjustment of my mind and spirit to get ready for something this momentous.  Each of our other three children was planned and we knew they were coming.  Since I'm a planner I like it that way.  My God, however, has a different plan than me.  You would think I would get this by now.  But, I'm somewhat thick headed and stubborn.  He's still working on me.
So, we told the kids and our families.  Phinn is excited.  Gigi immediately told us she didn't want another baby.  She'll come around.  Clementine seems so tiny to me.  I have to remember Phinn was this same age when we found out about Gigi.  Two sets of kiddos 16-18 months apart.  Wow!
