Update: I figured out the formatting problem. Silly new dashboard.
(I'm having a horrible time with Blogger. Since they changed the dashboard around I haven't been able to get my blog posts to look the way I want with the spacing I put in. Anyone else having these issues and want to help a technoidiot out?)
So I did a horrible job on Christmas of documenting the day. No pictures. It was Clementine's first Christmas and I have nothing on my phone or camera to remember it. :(
We had a great relaxing day. Heather spent Christmas Eve night at our house and the kids were super pumped about it. I got up early and made the Pioneer Woman Cinnamon Rolls. (I highly recommend these babies. The recipe is easy and super tasty. I made the dough the night before so when I got up I didn't have too much to do to knock them out.) We opened stockings and presents at home, got ready, took some cinnamon rolls to the hospital for those poor workers who don't get to be home with their families on Christmas day, then headed over to my parents' house.
This year we made a Southern Feast. Fried chicken, mashed potatoes, collared greens, purple hulled peas, cornbread, cheddar biscuits, tomato and cucumber salad, jalapeno poppers, and fried okra. It. Was. Awesome! We had two different families as guests and had a really pleasant time with everyone.
Phinn got Legos from everyone and has been in heaven since we opened the boxes. Gigi got princess shoes, a super awesome microphone, a Littlest Pet Shop plane and some other fun girly things. Clementine didn't seem to understand but sure liked the new toys she got.
I managed to get Daniel's quilt top finished and will hopefully get the rest of the quilt finished this week or next. It may have to wait until after the kids start school again. Having all three home all the time is an adjustment but they are having a blast playing all day with each other and watching movies because we can and it's vacation!
